HNF4-GFP報告基因是自主研發的用于檢測HNF4轉錄活性水平為目的的報告基因。HNF4(Hepatocyte Nuclear Factor 4)是轉錄因子核受體超家族中的一員，參與肝細胞分化調控和維持肝細胞的生物學功能。HNF4α主要在消化系統、肝臟和腎臟表達，以及在白色脂肪組織和胰腺中也有少量的表達。HNF4α具有阻斷肝纖維化、肝硬化、肝癌的**進程,改善肝臟功能的作用。另外,HNF4α在肝干細胞移植方面也發揮重要作用,提高肝細胞移植的成功率。
HNF4-GFP報告基因主要用于檢測細胞Hepatocyte Nuclear Factor 4相關信號通路中HNF4的轉錄活性、**研究以及基因過表達和RNAi的表型分析等。HNF4 GFP Reporter Plasmid（HNF4-GFP報告基因質粒）
pGMHNF4-GFP是改造后的哺乳動物真核表達載體，在其多克隆位點插入了多個HNF4結合位點，可以高效地檢測HNF4的激活水平。由于載體采用了GFP作為報告基因，更便于后續的檢測。同時，對載體中預測出的其它轉錄因子以外的結合位點進行了適當的突變，增加了質粒的轉錄因子結合特異性。另外，由于質粒體積減小，使得HNF4-GFP報告基因更易于轉染。
